I feel especially grateful today. I am grateful for the women in my life that I am able to connect with in very special ways. Life is so much sweeter because I have you to love, to share my concerns, to laugh with, to cry with, to complain to, and because I can count on you for an honest answer when I ask you if something makes me look fat! Today, I am so thankful for:
Fellow moms that walk through the trenches of parenthood with me.
Women from generations before mine that provide wisdom and insight.
Younger women who remind me to reconnect with my more youthful self!
Women who share the power of prayer and are available to intercede anytime.
Women who can send a text at exactly the moment I needed to hear from them.
Women I can laugh with over dinner...to the point of needing Depends!
Women who can hold me tight as I cry when the pain of life strikes.
Thank you to all of you! My life is blessed because you are in it. I cherish every conversation, no matter how deep or random it might be. I know that having you in my life creates balance for me. God has given me such special women to share the events of life with. I am comforted when you walk with me side by side through life's tough moments. I am encouraged when I fall and you help me up. I feel grace when I am wrong and you don't judge me. I am thrilled to celebrate with you when life is sweet. I am humbled when you ask me to help you or pray for you. I feel special when you call just to check in.
My prayer is that I bring you comfort, encouragement, grace and joy! I hope I make you feel special. I hope that I can bring God's love and goodness into your life, as I offer my friendship and sisterhood to you. I absolutely love our walks in the morning, conversations over coffee at Peet's, sitting next to you during pedicures, laughing as we share a wonderful meal (and dessert, of course!), conversations over the fence, long conversations over the phone (I miss the women that can't move to Oregon, YET!) and simply sharing time as we visit each other's homes. These moments help me keep my sanity on the days I fear I may lose it!
If you are reading this and wondering if I am talking about you, I am! I pray that your day is filled with the joy and peace that only our Lord can bring. If, by chance, you are having a challenging day, I hope you can take a moment to rest in the fact that God is with you and will help you through this tough day. After you do that, call me and allow me the precious opportunity to pray for you and encourage you...just as you would for me!
I am sending all of you my love and gratitude! Be blessed and delight in God's goodness and mercy today.
Ecclesiastes 4:9–12 Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.
